Note: I no longer use any of the features mentioned in this article I got Gallery 2 working, hosting all my pictures locally instead of on Flickr. I tried installing the latest version of the WPG2 plugin for WordPress and embedding Gallery2 but for some reason I get a whole slew of crazy errors, so I’ve decided on playing around with the ImageBlock module/plugin for Gallery2 instead. So now when you look at my Photostream on the right hand side you’ll see images locally hosted and pulled randomly off of my Gallery2 install. This also includes the random World of Warcraft image that shows up underneath as well. It took me a couple of tries to get the Photostream to look similar to that of the FlickrRSS plugin that was originally set up, but with a bit of elbow grease we managed to get those thumbnails squared up the same way that the Flickr one did… And that is how I spent half my day..
