About four days ago I decided I wanted to get rid of a couple of things that I no longer use or no longer need, one of my computers, acoustic guitar, and some Magic the Gathering trading cards. Some of these things I have not used in nearly 10 years and about time to get rid of them. I posted all these items on Craigslist, and got some immediate responses for all three items. A couple of minutes after I posted my guitar for sale someone had responded and wanted to take a look at it. So I drove down to his job and showed it off to him. After about 20 minutes of the guy staring at it and touching it and what not he tells me that he doesn’t want it because its made in China. Thankfully he gave me a $5 bill for my troubles and gas and I drove off. Today I managed to get the guitar sold and the Magic the Gathering cards sold as well. The guitar was a pretty fast transaction, the guy that wanted it had sent his wife over and she just picked it up, gave me the money and left, it was a transaction of less than 3 minutes. On the other hand the guy that wanted the magic cards took some time checking every single card to see if there were any rare cards or what not. This guy took nearly an hour just sorting through them, to finally offer me $15 for the shoe box full of them. I took the money and he finally took off.

Craigslist has proven to be a little better than eBay mainly because I don’t have to worry about paypal transactions, and the hassle of going to the post office and waiting in line for about an hour or so to ship and item. The only thing I don’t like about it is the fact that you still get those scammer e-mails of people wanting you to send your computer to some weird country if they pay you and extra $100 and what not. I simply put in big bold letters LOCAL PICK UP ONLY.

One that mentioned a few characters that caught my attention. Based on the show trailer I saw its based on Terry Goodkind’s novel Wizard’s First Rule. My favorite book, and first book fantasy book that I read as just for fun. My only hopes is that they don’t screw the story as bad as Hollywood has done in the past. One thing that caught my attention and I must say spoiler alert, is the fact that they mention Richard (main character) seeking the “Book of Counted Shadows,” and according to the book he is a walking talking Book of Counted Shadows. In any case I’m looking forward towards seeing the first episode and be a judge from there.

I got Gallery 2 working, hosting all my pictures locally instead of on Flickr. I tried installing the latest version of the WPG2 plugin for WordPress and embedding Gallery2 but for some reason I get a whole slew of crazy errors, so I’ve decided on playing around with the ImageBlock module/plugin for Gallery2 instead. So now when you look at my Photostream on the right hand side you’ll see images locally hosted and pulled randomly off of my Gallery2 install.

This also includes the random World of Warcraft image that shows up underneath as well. It took me a couple of tries to get the Photostream to look similar to that of the FlickrRSS plugin that was originally set up, but with a bit of elbow grease we managed to get those thumbnails squared up the same way that the Flickr one did… And that is how I spent half my day..

My brothers took me out for some sushi and beer to celebrate my birthday. I had a nice big bottle of Kirin bringing back the good memories from my trip to Japan. After about an hour and 5 rolls later I was finally defeated by the sushi master with a roll he called the Rattle Snake roll. I was no longer able to fit anything else in my stomach without having my stomach burst. Gluttony is what I commited. Feelings of guilt and slowness consumed me afterward. Hopefully next time I’ll be able to control my inner sushi demon. All in all I had a great time.

My original excuse was to improve my listening skills but I must say that this has actually turned into one of my favorite shows on T.V. I always look forward to watching every sunday. The title of the drama is Haken no Hinkaku or in english The Pride of the Temp. It’s not what a typical drama would involved as it doesn’t take love or any of those topics too seriously its more about a couple of temps and the work place. I was unfortunate enough to not have had the chance to catch it from the first episode. In any case thats sort of my round up of sunday evening television.
