Yesterday Google officially announced that it will discontinue development of some of its online webapps. Of the items on their list I was somewhat shocked and hurt to see that there are no more new things being added to it. Seeing how much momentum Evernote has picked up I’m considering a complete switch over to their services. I’ve always held an account there though just never used as heavily as Google Notebook. The Google blog does hold a good point though, a whole slew of new features in some of their other apps make Notebook somewhat useless, but I always liked notebook as sort of a sticky, save for later memo kind of deal.
I’ve been thinking as to what I want to do for New Years. Every year has been the same old thing, go to someone’s house and drink the night away. I want to switch things up a little bit this year. I have been considering the thought of visiting Times Square seeing that it is usually a hot spot to go to every year. Taking that into consideration I’m beginning to wonder as to whether or not I’ll even find a flight and hotel room. I’ve also considered going to Mexico and spend new years eve with the loved ones there. Though the flight might be a bit more expensive I know I don’t have to worry about booking a room. I guess I need to decide quickly because New Years is around the corner.
Though its been around seven months since my trip to Japan I still talk excitedly about it and share various observations with friends and coworkers. Here’s a little video I came across while browsing around my profile on vimeo.
Mt. Fuji Cuisine from Roberto on Vimeo.
A bunch of people have asked me if I’m going back to Japan next year. My answer is always a bit mixed mainly because I’m still not sure what changes may come especially after moving out from Palmdale. I’m hoping to go back next year but if its not possible I’ll definitely be going to Seattle to visit some friends there. In any case this fishy video made me want to visit Japan again.
